Oryx provides executive search in Glasgow and throughout Scotland, working across an industrial base that is both older and newer than most. Complex warship build and defence electronics run on the Clyde, and the city manufactures more small satellites than any other in Europe, a cluster that grew up almost entirely within the last fifteen years. Energy is the region's largest single story: network and generation businesses headquartered in Glasgow, the offshore wind leasing rounds now moving into development and construction, the oil, gas and subsea economy to the north east, and the hydrogen and transmission investment that connects them. We work with AGS Airports, which owns and operates Aberdeen, Glasgow and Southampton airports, and with Norbord, the European division of a global wood panel manufacturer. Engineering groups in pumps, flow control and fans remain headquartered in the city, and food and drink is a major export industry led by whisky.
